GardianT3 FAQ's
GardianT3 COVID-19 SARS-CoV-2 Rapid Antigen Test is a saliva based lateral flow immunoassay self test intended to detect SARS-CoV-2 nucelocapsic antigens present in human saliva samples in vitro. This rapid antigen test is intended to be used in symptomatic individuals meeting the case definition for COVID-19 within the first 7 days of symptom onset, and to test individuals suspected of COVID-19 due to contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case or probable cases, and at-risk health workers.
Positive results are indicative of the presence of SARS-CoV-2. Positive results do not rule out a bacterial infection or co-infection with other viruses. Negative results do not rule out SARS-CoV-2 infection. Individuals who test negative and continue to experience symptoms should seek follow up care from their local state or territory COVID-19 testing centre.

The instructions state 60 seconds, however this may take less time for individuals who produce more saliva or longer for individuals with a dry mouth. Every individual will produce saliva at different rates. If you have a dry mouth, it is safe to have a drink or water or use Biotene oral rinse or spray to assist in producing saliva.

It is recommended that you don't eat, drink, or smoke for at least 30 minutes prior to conducting the GardianT3 Covid-19 rapid test.

Test results are ready in 10 minutes. Do not read test results after 20 minutes, this will deem the test result invalid.
A positive Covid-19 test result means it is very likely you have Covid-19. Refer to your relevant health authority for advice on whether a PCR test is required to confirm your rapid antigen test result, follow your relevant State or Territory guidelines for up to date self isolation rules and regulations and report your result. You can call the national Coronavirus hotline on 1800 020 080, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
A negative Covid-19 rapid test result may mean that the viral load is too low to be recognised by the rapid antigen test. If you have symptoms but have produced a negative test result, self isolate and repeat the test in 1 - 2 days. Follow the advice from your relevant government health authority.
